The opening to this wedding's ceremony began with those words. A quote from Mumford and Sons recited by the officiant (also man of honor), Daniel.

The ceremony was right before sunset at the Arboretum. The garden was enveloped in the light filtered through the surrounding trees. Highlighting the already lush and lovely landscape. 

It was a small and intimate gathering of friends and family. Although it was of small size, there was no shortage of love and adoration surrounding this day, from the very start to the final moments.  There might have even been light sabers, an appearance from yoda, thors hammer, and mermaids on shoes. It was certainly not your average wedding ceremony. It was personalized, had lots of humor, sweetness and sincerity. 

The celebration of love was so authentic, so natural, and so heartfelt.

The Hamiltons

 Here are some real gems from my recent photo session with the Hamiltons. We walked to the local park in Burbank and had some fun! I was just there to capture it all...

After our fun at the park, we walked back to their house. Maddie was so excited to show me her 'pretty dress'. We then got some family photos in front of their fire place.

Lisa and Jackson

Tis the season... very first request for christmas photos this holiday season. I could not be happier to have started the season off on such a high note. Lisa and her son Jackson were so great to have in my home studio. Lisa knew she definitely wanted a black back drop before the session began. As soon as she and her son arrived, I had it set up and ready to go, snapped a few shots, then headed outside to my back deck for some photos with natural daylight. I am not sure which I like better. They all came out great. With such beautiful, big, brown eyes like they have, you really can't go wrong.

Charlie

 My friend, Emily, came by earlier today. We were able to catch up over a delicious lunch at Olive and Thyme.  While I had her and Charlie around I couldn't help but capture some of his precious expressions. 

I was lucky enough to be the photographer for Charlie's very first photo shoot when he was only 2 weeks old, just a little naked nugget of cuteness then, and now, he is 18 months. And cuter than ever. Those sweet blonde curls combined with his expressive lil' face are just too much. Adorable.

My super sweet and super talented friend Sandy recently had a photoshoot with me. She is a writer, and is damn good at it. These gorgeous photos are her author shots, for the upcoming release of her graphic novel, the Tenth Throne. It is about the planet of Rutas being in turmoil after the tenth kingdom of Atlantis is attacked. I would tell you more, but you will just have to wait and see.
