Colors of autumn

::DEEP SIGH::
I miss New England. A lot. Living in Los Angeles for the past 7 years has been wonderful, but always leaves me longing for the drama and beauty throughout the changing landscape during the transitional seasons. It is not very often I am able to get back to Massachusetts during the fall, my visits tend to be during the winter holidays. This year I was able to travel back east for a retreat with my parents. I grew up on this land, between the ages of 7-13 I would spend a week out in nature at this very camp. I had been here before, it was the same...only different.

New England

These photos are from a recent road trip taken through the colorful backroads of the northeast. Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Montreal, New Hampshire, and Maine. Growing up in Massachusetts was perfect. However, I never truly appreciated the beauty of the land. Now, as an adult, I love vacationing there, any season really, as they all differ so dramatically. Being a tourist in the place I grew up in is a funny feeling. It is always hard to leave. I will forever return.
