Rites of Spring

There is a place that exists up a lush green mountain on a winding dirt road. Gates await your arrival at the top. Some have been through these gates more years than I've been alive. Some are passing for their first time. There is an immediate yearning to come and come again before the work has even begun. The energy is palpable.  There is an immediate release as you pass through these gates. Warm cloaked open arms greet you with a kiss on the cheek.

As you meet the people who choose to pass through these gates, you soon realize there is a different view from the top of this mountain. It is the kind of view that is opposite of a submarine's periscope. There is this ability to look through the scope of ones eyes and see straight down into their heart. Facades are forgotten. All is shown. The light and the dark are equally accepted here. Both burn just as magnificent as the other. All burn just as brightly as the fire we dance around. Some dance around this fire until the moon becomes the sun.

While on this mountain, no matter which direction you walk, every path you choose to go down there is this never-ending seemingly natural orchestra that whispers in your ears. They are all invitations; instruments in the distance, deep hearted belly laughs under a tent, chanting within the woods, drums beating at your feet, ancient languages of the motherland, or a merriment of singsong lyrics to learn.

This mountain is the home of great feasts, rituals, fires, witches, dances, fairies, magick, crafts, vikings, mead, art, astrology, healers, its all here, if you believe it, you'll find it, or if you're lucky sometimes it finds you.

Each one of us is a pillar of love on this mountain, tied, and woven to the tallest pillar of all. The maypole. A web which is weaved with the highest and greatest intention. A conduit of connection to all beings of the earth.

You are your own master of creation on the crown of this mountain. You have the choice to make the time spent up there exactly what you need.

This mountain offers a deep and direct connection to all the elements on the earth. All the elements within you.

This is Rites of Spring.
